Hockley County Endowment Grant Story: Levelland ISD Foundation for Excellence
With a grant from the Hockley County Endowment, the Levelland ISD Foundation for Excellence (LIFE) helped 72 students pay for their dual credit courses during the 2019-2020 school year. A LIFE Foundation rep says, “with the investment from the Hockley County Foundation, we were able to fund $24,190 of dual credit expenses.” The LIFE Foundation consists of a volunteer board that raises funds to pay for up to 18 dual credit hours for Levelland High School students. Students pay for the courses upfront and will be reimbursed by the organization when the class is completed with at least a 2.85 GPA.
